Project Description: The Bombay Duck Press is an independent Canadian, Indo-Canadian publisher established to publish the Indian and Indo-Canadian literature its audience craves. Barrett and Welsh created a hand-drawn identity whose letterforms resemble a classic fishbone skeleton, representing the Bombay duck, a uniquely South Asian fish.
The identity extends the central idea across static and motion applications, giving the publisher a distinctive visual system that is playful, culturally specific, and immediately recognizable.
