Melanie’s area of focus is on the understanding of human behavior in the social environment. Her writing and research appear in professional scholarly journals. As a designer, she is interested in the juxtaposition of art and text and her research and practice interests include the efficacy of creative processes as a therapeutic tool. She is currently a professor at the University of Buffalo, New York. She is co-author of the book “Teaching Social Work with Digital Technology” (CSWE Press, 2018).
