After graduating in Advertising, Marcelo began his career as an art director in 2006. With 15 years of experience, he has worked at Impact BBDO Dubai, Leo Burnett Brazil, Dm9DDB, Africa DDB, Cheil Brazil, and other essential agencies. Marcelo has developed projects for major accounts such as Snickers, P&G, Fiat, JetBlue, Royal Caribbean, McDonald’s, Burger King, Heineken, KFC, 7up, and Itaú Bank – in three different countries.
In 2018, he was ranked 5th art director in Brazil by Lürzer’s Archive and top 10 ACDs in the Middle East / North Africa by BW Report.
He got awarded at the main advertising festivals throughout his career, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, El Ojo, Wave Festival, and Dubai Lynx.
