Currently, an Art Director at Alma DDB in the sunny Miami, João is a Brazilian-Italian multidisciplinary creative specializing in concept-driven art direction & design for all aspects of advertising and visual communication. He’s been part of big-name companies, such as Ogilvy & Mather NY and Havas.
He loves to create “stuff” and is passionate about traveling and exploring new places. His travels have taken him to over 50 countries allowing him to have a global perspective on different cultures.
João redefined his career by switching from Law school—where his notes were covered in drawings—to Design. Since moving to the US in 2014, he’s moved into advertising by blending design skills with original ideas.
His work has been internationally recognized by major award-shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, Art Director’s Club, LIA Awards, Graphis, Golden Award of Montreux, ADDYS National, YGA, GDUSA Magazine, Applied Arts Magazine, PrintMag, Lürzer’s Archive, Summit International Awards, among others.
In 2016, he had the elite honor of receiving the O-1 Artist Visa (USA) issued to People of Extraordinary Ability in their field based on awards, professional references, experience and creative portfolio. In the same year, he was nominated for the “200 Best Digital Artists Worldwide” by the prestigious Lürzer’s Archive.
