Jeff Fisher, the Engineer of Creative Identity for the one-person design shop Jeff Fisher LogoMotives, has been designing logos, creating corporate identity systems and branding organizations, businesses and products for over 35 years. Clients have included one-person entrepreneurial companies, education facilities, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, professional sports teams and major international corporations.
Jeff Fisher has received over 600 regional, national and international graphic design awards for his logo and corporate identity efforts. Since 1998, he has been recognized by the Summit Creative Awards with two Gold, seven Silver and nine Bronze awards. In addition, his work is featured in over 170 books on the design of logos, the business of graphic design, and small business marketing.
Fisher is the author of the book “Identity Crisis!: 50 Redesigns That Transformed Stale Identities Into Successful Brands” and “The Savvy Designer’s Guide to Success,” both published by HOW Design Books. Other books are currently in the works. He also often writes for industry magazines and web sites, and features about the designer and his business have appeared in creative industry publications, newspapers, major magazines, websites and webzines around the world. Graphic Design USA magazine named him one of the design industry “People to Watch” in 2009.
isher has served on the Art Institute of Portland Professional Advisory Council, HOW Magazine Board of Advisors and the HOW Design Conference Advisory Council. He is a internationally-recognized lecturer and educator, making numerous presentations each year on the topics of identity, branding, promotion and social media to design organization, design school, university and business group audiences.
