Gregg Bernstein Since 1996, Gregg Bernstein has created packaging, apparel, and graphics for clients in the music, fashion, and entertainment industries. He has worked with some of the largest (and smallest) advertising and design firms worldwide. After moving to Chicago in late 1999, Gregg worked with advertising and design firms such as JDK, DDB, Leo Burnett, and Burrell Communications. During this time he continued to develop packaging and apparel solutions for Polyvinyl, Vagrant Records, DC Shoe Co., Jimmy Eat World, and Weezer, among others.
Gregg was raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where he skateboarded poorly but listened to music with ease. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he began his career designing music packaging for the independent label Polyvinyl Record Co. In early 1998 he accepted an art director position in New York with Alloy.com, where he developed their brand online and in print. Gregg teaches graphic design and typography classes at Georgia State University in Atlanta. He resides with his family in Athens, Georgia. He earned his MFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design [SCAD]. In his spare time, he runs quite a bit and has completed two marathons.
