When is the competition season?
The Summit Creative Award is in the winter with the deadline in late January.

When are winners officially announced?
Winners are announced April 30th.
 
Are all entrants notified or just the winners?
All entrants of the Summit Awards will receive an email informing of the completion of the competition. Winners will receive a Winner's Packet in the mail.

How many entries compete each year in the competitions?
5,000+ annually.
 
With what criteria do judges evaluate submissions?  
Entries are judged based on their:
- Strength of concept
- Quality of execution
- Ability to communicate and persuade.

Is it possible to receive specific feedback on our submissions?  
Unfortunately, with the sheer volume of work reviewed by our panels, in most cases the judges are unable to log specific evaluative feedback about the submissions.
 
How many awards are given in each category?
The number of awards presented each year in the Creative Awards depends on the number of submissions in a given category, the scoring range and the number of ties. According to the award's bylaws there can be no more han the following: Silver 6-8% Bronze 7-9% bronze. 79-85% of all submissions do not receive recognition. One gold is awarded in each category unless there is a tie. No gold will be given in the event entries do not meet minimum scoring qualifications. Best of Show awards are determined from eligible gold winning entries. There are five Best of Show awards each year: Print, Broadcast, Interactive Media, Industry Self-promotion and Public Service.

If we win, we receive an awards certificate but we would like additional certificates for the creative team and a statuette for our client. Who can order a statuette or additional certificate?
All winners are permitted to order additional certificates or a statuette. Each winning company receives an order form in their winner packet but they are also available at the Order Form link on the award's site.
 
How does our winning firm get its Microsite on the Award's web site?
Only Summit International Award winners are eligible to develop a winner's microsite. 

The SIA's site has a fully functional Winners Area that enables winners to have the flexibility to present a complete profile of their company. Visit the Get Listed link in the Award Winner section of the award's site for step by step instructions. Submitting a listing is straight forward but the award's staff does provide technical assistance via e-mail.

Who sponsor's the Summit Creative Award?
The Summit Creative Award is conducted by The Summit International Awards organization. The Awards is not tied to any advertiser, magazine, trade association, ad club or other outside influence.
 
The Summit International Awards is an independent, international organization focused on creating a community of marketing creativity and excellence. It conducts an impartial, 'blind' judging and, once completed, it recognizes, celebrates and promotes creative and marketing excellence in those winning companies and individuals.
 
Its judging process is designed to be impartial and free from outside influences by withholding both the names of the judges on the panels as well as the contestant's names throughout the entire evaluation process. Both judge's and contestant's names are withheld until after award winning entries are selected. This anonymity shelters all involved from any vested interest which may attempt to influence the judges' opinions or the judging process.
 
When do the Entry Kits become available?
The Creative Award call for entries kit is scheduled for release each November.
