Raised by a pack of wild sewer rats in New York City, David has spent his entire career in the wonderfully whacky world of advertising. David began his career as a Production Assistant, getting coffee for various commercial directors and producers. While he avoided getting burned hurrying the joe across film sets, he managed to pay attention to what was going on and was working as a Production Coordinator, then Production Manager, and then began placing his own coffee orders as a Producer. |
And life was grand until he discovered he could write. So he put together a portfolio and took a junior writer job (along with a monster salary cut) at SSC&B which quickly morphed into Lintas Worldwide. A few years working on everything from Sure & Natural MaxiShields to Lego, and from Cover Girl to Heineken, he moved on and up…working at ACR DHB & Bess, Laurence Charles Free & Lawson and then as an ACD at Saatchi & Saatchi Wegener. After that, he freelanced until he became one of the founders of Osmotics, a skincare company that’s still in business and sold in SAKS, Nordstroms, Lord & Taylor and in Europe as well. A few years there and it was back to being a pencil for hire until he went back to being on staff, easing back into at Eddie Bauer, where he was the Group Copy Manager for all channels. Then some time at Cole & Weber / United in Seattle and now he’s presently a Group Copy Supervisor at Quantum Advertising in NJ.
He lives in Rockland county overlooking the Hudson River with his wife, their two-year-old daughter, two cats, and no rats.
