BKG sprouted from one of the oldest agencies in the Midwest. Tencate Associates, founded by Bob Tencate, opened in 1961 and operated successfully for over 40 years. When Tencate retired in 2001, Tim Kubista and Greg Breukelman acquired his business. Along with new ownership came new ideas, a fresh approach, and two equally confusing names to fit in a logo. Today we go by the name Breukelman Kubista Group. BKG for short.
